Bestselling traditional German sweet bread for Christmas, my version is loaded with almonds, rum-soaked dried cherries and raisins and homemade candied peel, and wrapped around a centre of homemade orange almond marzipan. Once cooled the whole surface is immersed in melted butter and heavily dusted with icing sugar.
